Love Came Down by Ben Cantelon Print E-mail

I want to introduce a song that has been working in my heart. Ben Cantelon is a worship leader for Soul Survivor in England. Love Came Down is easy to sing and people loves to sing because it builds up very nicely to the chorus with meaningful lyrics.

My favorite part is the chorus.

I've found a love greater than life itself
I've found a hope stronger and nothing compares
I once was lost, now I'm alive in You

Love Came Down
Ben Cantelon - Daylight Breaks Through - Love Came Down
Ben Cantelon

When I call on Your name, You answer
When I fall, You are there by my side
You delivered me out of darkness
Now I stand in the hope of new life (x2)

[Pre-Chorus]
By grace I'm free, You've rescued me
All I am is Yours

[Chorus]
I've found a love greater than life itself
I've found a hope stronger and nothing compares
I once was lost, now I'm alive in You

[Verse 2]
You're my God and my firm foundation
It is You whom I'll trust at all times
I give glory and praise, adoration
To my Saviour who's seated on high

[Bridge]
Love came down and rescued me
I thank You, I thank You
I once was blind, but now I see
I see You, I see You

Jesus You Are Worthy Print E-mail
Brenton Brown - Everlasting God - Jesus, You Are Worthy
by Brenton Brown

There are many good songs in "Everlasting God" and this song is an excellent candidate for a small church. It is very singable and you don't need a rock band to actually execute the song. No fancy words, no fancy melodies. You will love the song. Download the chord sheet below.

Jesus You are mercy
Jesus You are justice
Jesus You are worthy
That is what You are
You died alone to save me
You rose so You could raise me
You did all this to make me
A chosen child of God

Worthy is the Lamb that once was slain
To receive all glory, power and praise
For with Your blood You purchased us for God
Jesus, You are worthy, that is what You are

[Bridge]
Perfect sacrifice, crushed by God for for us
Bearing in Your hurt all that I deserve
Misjudged for my misdeeds, You suffered silently
The only guiltless man in all of history

[Bridge 2]
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
Justice and mercy
Meet on the cross (x2)

Hillsong Live - Healer (This Is Our God) PDF Print E-mail
In the latest Hillsong Live album, "This Is Our God",  Mike Guglielmucci, originally from Planetshakers sings "Healer". He is a cancer patient and sings the song with an oxygen tank right next to him.  It is very powerful song that God can heal and restore every area of our lives.

You hold my every moment
You calm my raging seas
You walk with me through fire
And heal all my disease

I trust in You
I trust in You

I believe You’re my Healer
I believe You are all I need
I believe You’re my Portion
I believe You’re more than enough for me
Jesus You’re all I need

My Healer, You’re my Healer

Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible for You
You hold my world in Your hands

Here is the story behind the song.

Remember Mercy by Brian Doerksen Print E-mail

I recently discovered this song and I actually used for worship set last week. The words are directly from Habakkuk 3:2. It speaks well to my prayer and condition of heart these days.

Lord I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds O Lord
I have heard of your fame
I stand in awe of your deeds O Lord

Renew them renew them
In our day, and in our time make them known
Renew them renew them
In our day, and in our time make them known

In wrath remember mercy
In wrath remember mercy

In Brian Doerksen website you can download the song. Click here to download. (For PC users, right click and choose "Save As")
