Line 6 Spider III Print E-mail

Wow! I thought I would never say good bye to my Fender Pro Junior. But I guess the time has come. This was my 10th year anniversary gift from my wife. I was really surprised since we are in a really tight budget. One thing bad about tube amp is that I have to constantly fight with inconstancies. I hope this baby will resolve that issue.

This one has more than what I need for tones and sounds. Here are my favorite preset sounds so far and they are stored in my first 4 channels; 01A Lead O Rama, 01B D/Plate, 01C Caynenne, 01D Swell Pedal. I had to adjust and reprogram the channel volume for each preset so that they would be somewhat consistent. I like that it has CD/MP3 player jack that I can plug my MP-GT1 and jam. I have compiled all the preset sounds and it is available below for download. Not having much time to practice during the day, I plug my headphone and enjoy my little riff at night.
Setting it to a "Compare" mode was little tricky. While you are holding Tab button, you can compare the original settings as you turn the knobs. This is useful function to see how presets are set up and you can compare with your customized setting. I will tell you more about new FBV Express when I get a chance.

Come Thou Fount, Come Thou King by Gateway Worship Print E-mail
Gateway Worship - Living for You - Come Thou Fount, Come Thou King

I usually do not like modifying hymns. Last week I stumbled upon Gateway Worship and pleasantly surprised by the quality of their sound. I wished I could use the song last week but definitely we need to practice if we want to do it right. They changed the lyrics. I've never heard the second stanza in the original hymn. I went to iTunes right away and it was there! Thanks, Steve! You can login and download the chord sheet below the article or from download menu.

VERSE 1
Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy, never ceasing call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount, I'm fixed upon it
Mount of Thy redeeming love

VERSE 2
I was lost in utter darkness 'til You came and rescued me
I was bound by all my sin when Your love came and set me free
Now my soul can sing a new song, now my heart has found a home
Now Your grace is always with me
And I'll never be alone

CHORUS
Come, Thou Fount, come, Thou King; Come, Thou precious Prince of Peace
Hear Your bride, to You we sing, come, Thou Fount of our blessing
Come, Thou Fount, come, Thou King; Come, Thou precious Prince of Peace
Hear Your bride, to You we sing, come, Thou Fount of our blessing

VERSE 3
O, to grace, how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart, Lord, take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

Faithful by Fee Print E-mail
Fee - We Shine - Faithful

I decided to go out of my comfort zone and listen to some songs that I have not heard. I recently learned that "Fee" was nominated in Praise and Worship Album of the Year category. So I bought one of the song from their "We Shine" album

You were before time
And You'll be when it ends
You have no beginning and no end
Your word shall endure
without change it is sure on Your promises
We will stand secure

Faithful
You are ever faithful
You are ever faithful to us, God

Your might, your display
In the skies everyday
Everything You created for Your praise
from the cross on the earth
To Your throne you returned
Where You reign over all creation
Never changed, never shaken

Faithful
You are ever faithful
You are ever faithful to us, God
Powerful
You are crowned all-powerful
All the world will bow before
You, Oh God

You're the song of our soul salvation
Life that cannot be taken
Solid rock, firm foundation
Never changed, never shaken

Worship the Lord - Al Gordon Print E-mail
Al Gordon - Future Sound - EP - Worship the Lord

I heard this song in Worship Central USA Launch. That was the first time hearing Al Gordon singing. Great song with lots of potential in local churches.

Worship the Lord
In the beauty of holiness
With awe and with reverence
Bow to adore

You are my Lord
You are my holiness
Jesus my righteousness
I worship you Lord

I’m living for your glory
I’m living for the name
Above all names
No one else is worthy
No one else can ever take your place

I worship you Lord
In beautiful holiness
Lifting up reverence
I bow to adore
I give you my all
Surrendering everything
my everyday offering
To worship you Lord

Tag:
You are high and lifted up
High and lifted up
High and lifted up (x 4)

How Can I keep from Singing Print E-mail
Chris Tomlin - See the Morning - How Can I Keep from Singing
by Chris Tomlin

We practice this song and we are going to sing this very soon. I need to hear a lot and practice.

There is an endless song echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring
And though the storms may come I am holding on
And to the rock I cling

How can I keep from singing Your praise?
How can I ever say enough?
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name?
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

I will lift my eyes in the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives
And I will walk with you knowing You see me through
And sing the songs You give

I sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing ‘cause you pick me up
Sing ‘cause you’re there
I can sing ‘cause you hear me Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I’ll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne
